Knox, Maroondah and Yarra Ranges Councils are in partnership together for this exciting opportunity for the Bayswater Business Precinct (BBP).

About Bayswater Business Precinct (BBP)
The BBP Project is a joint partnership between the Councils of Knox, Maroondah and Yarra Ranges.

The BBP project is a dynamic, collaborative and action-oriented approach to the revitalisation and ongoing successful sustainability of the precinct involving businesses, Councils, and federal, state and regional agencies, resulting in the growth of sustainable jobs and the attraction of new businesses and investment to Melbourne’s East.

About the role
The BBP Coordinator will work towards achieving the four priority areas of focus.  This will include strengthening regional ties with neighbouring Local Government Area’s within the context of collaborative projects for the precinct; working with State Government departments, key stakeholders and local businesses in building upon established strong working relationships to ensure the vibrancy and growth of local businesses and the prosperity of the Eastern Region. Given the current context, the BBP Coordinator will also work towards enabling industry recovery, economic development and regeneration.

• Coordinate effective governance structures, including the Project Control Group (PCG) and Project Working Group (PWG) to oversee the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project.

Skills and experience
• Relevant degree or post graduate qualifications and / or significant experience
• Ability to coordinate working groups, guide and influence others to operate effectively across stakeholder groups in a busy, challenging, diverse, changing and demanding environment.
• Ability to operate effectively in an independent manner and as a member of a team in a challenging, diverse and changing environment.
• Ability to relate to a wide range of people and communicate with enthusiasm and energy with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of contemporary Economic Development issues and activities within the context of metropolitan Melbourne and the Eastern Region.
